Winter at the Lodge Update

I want to begin by thanking everyone who helped make Winter at the Lodge such a huge success again this year! We had a wonderful day filled with lots of activities and auction fun.

This year we had close to 100 children and adults. Definitely a full house. People were everywhere, from playing games and drinking coffee in the lodge, to young skaters on the rink, hockey on the lake and the perfect combination of ice and snow on the hill to send airboards zipping across the field, there was fun had by all. A fresh layer of snow as the day progressed added a true “winter” atmosphere to the event.

This year we were able to raise a little over $4000 towards our washhouse project. Thank you to everyone who helped make this another great event. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in organizing the event, those who donated items to the silent and pie auctions.

Any individuals wishing to make further donations to the washhouse project can contact the Lodge Office for details.

Some important upcoming dates

Just wanted to let everyone know about a few upcoming important dates:

Saturday November 26 2011  - Annual General Meeting 10am-2pm

Come hear about what’s been happening at camp over the past year.

Saturday January 14 2012 – Winter at the Lodge Fundraiser

Last year’s Winter at the Lodge was a huge success and we constantly hear people asking us to host it again this year. Well we listened. Come join us for a day of family oriented winter fun as we raise funds for an important cause.

Bring on the Fall

This summer was once again a tremendous success thanks to the many volunteers and staff who gave up their time and efforts into making camp run smoothly.

Fall is just around the corner and students are back at school, but that doesn’t mean camp is done for the year. In fact we begin moving into another busy time of year as Youth groups, family reunions, and schools make their way out to camp during the fall.

We pray that you would continue to support camp and keep us in your prayers.

Kris

P.S. While the fall is typically a very busy time and fills up quickly, we do still have a few open dates available for rentals. If you are interested in coming out to camp as a family, church, or even as a school class please let us know!

Summer is Here!

Well summer is officially here and camps are underway. There is nothing quite like the sounds of kids running around camp having a great time.  There is still room in both our Jr. High and Sr. High camps so if you are still thinking about whether or not you should come to camp, think no more and register!

Summer Staff Needed

Currently we are looking to hire a variety of positions:

1) Summer Program Coordinator:

This 16 week paid position is responsible for overseeing the programming of our summer camps. Coordinators will plan and implement a summer program for each of our camps as well as assist with programming of our rental groups.

2) Cabin Directors:

This is a 6 week paid position. Cabin Directors are responsible for overseeing campers/cabins. Each week you will work with a different age group, providing leadership and fun to the campers.

Applications can be found on our resources page.

Individuals interested in either of these positions should contact the Bellevue Lodge office by phone: (780)645-4948 or by email: info@bellevuelodge.com

Summer is coming!

Summer is coming and it is coming soon!

This is going to be one of the best summers yet!

New brochures are available! Check out the Resources Page to download yours.

Register early and save $50

Thank You

Thank you so much to everyone who participated and prayed for our Winter at the Lodge event!

Despite the colder weather (which kept a number of families at home) we had roughly 50 adults and 20-25 kids attend. Many of them even commented that this should be an annual event!

Through tickets sales, the silent auction and the pie auction we raised a little over $3500.

This will enable us to complete our fridge renovation project. Any left-over funds after the project is completed will go towards other needed projects (the sinks in the lodge bathrooms need to be replaced/ painting the lodge/ flooring for cabins)
